At 19 she moved to Wales and received a Theatre, Television and Performance degree. While Melissa was there, she got involved in many projects. From being on Rownd a Rownd, to an advert on Heart FM, to performing in ‘Oh What a Lovely War’.
A while after this, Melissa moved up to Scotland, where she has been involved in many short films, audio projects, and plays. This includes the very successful play Twenty People a Minute, which was nominated for the Scottish Theatre Awards.
In 2025, Melissa wrote The End is Near, and she also acted in it. This premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe and was later performed at the Drayton Arms Theatre in London by Persistent Theatre Productions. This play had amazing reviews for both the acting and writing.
